Bleeding after surgery

Posting here mainly for traffic and solely because I'm going out of my mind with worry.

DM had an angiogram today, she was in recovery for at least 5 hours because they couldn't stop the bleeding.

I'm not sure if she's back on the ward now but she's just called me in tears because the bleeding just won't stop.

They've tried everything but it's still going. She's being changed every 5 minutes it's just soaking through.

I'm absolutely freaking out!

She's in the best place, they will have seen this before. It's always a risk with this procedure due to needing arterial access. They'll be able to give her blood if needed and they will get it sorted eventually. Understandably it is very frightening for her (and you) though. Flowers

Also, a little blood goes a long way so what seems like a lot to her may not be as catastrophic as you are imagining. Hope you get some good news soon.

I hope what I saw was minimal and it's not as bad as we think.

She's absolutely freaking out, seems no one is a rush to help.

I expect she'll need a transfusion after this.
