This morning I was driving to work and coming out through a residential street where there were cars parked meaning people have to pull in to let each other through. A double decker bus had pulled in to let several cars through, including me.
As I drove past and waved to thank him for pulling in, I realised he was sitting texting or doing something on his phone. He was stationary and had been for long enough for maybe 4 cars to come through, and obviously I don't know whether he was texting or phoning or checking the time or what.
But this was a school bus, at 8.10 in the morning, with kids on board. I know what school it was from. Should I contact the school and let them know? I don't want to get someone in trouble unnecessarily and I don't want to cause someone to lose their job, but at the same time if my child was on that bus, I think I would want to know.
Should I just leave it and move on? Or should I ring the school in the morning and let them know? (I drove to work this morning planning to ring as soon as I got there, but arrived to an urgent set of things to do and forgot all about it until I drove home tonight).
