Been in pain for two weeks, went to the hospital one week ago, and was given steroids and antibiotics , and told I had pluresy again. I had it about two years ago, but this time is much more painful. I finish my pills tomorrow, and just feel like crying as the pains that bad, I need some morphine or something . Any advice please ?

I get it a couple of times a year and find lying on the sore side beneficial.

I had it years ago and was in hospital for 4 nights on a drip with pain relief until it eased. I can't even imagine just being given meds and sent home. I wish you a speedy recovery.

The only thing that even remotely helped me was keeping propped upright

IHaveBrilloHair · 27/06/2018 19:49

Are you breathing ok?

Catchuptv · 27/06/2018 19:49

Can't you go back and get prescribed morphine tablets?

Shootfirstaskquestionslater · 27/06/2018 19:51

I’ve had that twice last time I had it I was prescribed codine and naproxen for the pain nobadvicr other than sleep propped up sending you Flowers

Thanks everyone yes I’m breathing ok, just in a hell of a lot of pain, going to go back to doctors in morning. And ask for stronger pain relief and antibiotics

My brother was very bad with this and he was prescribed Oromorph liquid which is morphine sulphate liquid, he said it was the only thing that helped. Hope you feel better soon.
