Do men get ‘time of the month’?

My god dh has been really grumpy and moody for the last two days. I called him out on it last night but today he came home from work equally annoyed. Not specifically with me but just a bit short with everyone. Not like him at all.

I’m putting it down to the heat, he works outside with heavy uniform on (police officer) and he’s very hairy and hot anyway.

But so unlike him that I’m wondering if men get hormonal moments too?!

No.

rosesandflowers1 · 27/06/2018 18:27

I think testosterone levels fluctuate, which can change mood.

I'm always full of sunshine and light, ahem!

There have studies that say that men do hormonal fluctuations

NCbecauseIdontwanttooutasaman · 27/06/2018 18:30

*have

MissusGeneHunt · 27/06/2018 18:33

They're humans, therefore they have hormones, and I doubt they're stable (the hormones, not the men!) all the time. So yes, as a non scientist, I reckon they probably do. Good question, OP!!

blackteasplease · 27/06/2018 18:35

My ex h used to. I swear he had an almost exactly monthly cycle of being grumpy twat. But it could just have been his personality.

Neverender · 27/06/2018 19:26

Someone I know (a policeman actually) is sure the moons impact male behaviour, with more violent etc.

AsAProfessionalFekko · 27/06/2018 19:27

Is he all premanstrual?

SparklyMagpie · 27/06/2018 19:28

I was just about to say, I really do believe the full moons impact our moods, so I'd go with that 😂 I'm a nightmare right now but I'm female. DS on the other hand is being a Right grump, but that runs in the family Hmm

AsAProfessionalFekko · 27/06/2018 19:30

I find that when there's a lovely full moon there's also a lot more noise and activity outside (drunken idiots yellow and crashing about).

KlutzyDraconequus · 27/06/2018 19:30

The only thing I know of that causes men hormonal and emotional changes is football... Lol

GladAllOver · 27/06/2018 19:32

Do men get ‘time of the month’?

Yes - every day! (some of them)

Groovee · 27/06/2018 19:38

Ds is 15 and I often feel he's worse than Dd who is 18! I think hormones fluctuate a lot.
