To be annoyed at band practice lasting nearly 7 hours ...and counting

Next door but one has a teenager son. He has joined a band. They have been kicked out of the loft after the neighbour Next door complained (semi detached) and have started to practice in the summer house.

If it was an hour or 2 I wouldn't mind (at a decent time). However it has been going on since just before 11am. I've had to sit inside all day with Windows and doors closed. My Windows have literally been rattling it us so loud.
After 6 hours (I thought I was being more than generous) I couldn't take it any longer. I went and asked them to either turn it down or stop.
He looked at me like I had 10 heads and told me they were practicing for a gig at the weekend.

They are still going and we have just hit 7 hours!

I know I am not the only neighbour to complain about it.

I know they need to practice but AIBU to think a couple of hours is more than enough to have to listen to it?

Call The Council, seriously I did. Do they still have noise Asbos - as I do remember telling my neighbour who had buggered out all day & left his precious children band practicing all day - that they may need to practise to gain extra curricular for college - but an asbo would look worse on their college application.

Noise complaint make it and tell them you have made it. They can hire places to practise. You have entitled CF neighbours - I feel for you.

I'd probably go and just press their doorbell and only take my finger off when they shut up.

Fucking selfish bastards.

God that would drive me batty, especially when it's this hot!

My uncle and aunt moan about their "miserable" neighbours, who complained (understandably) that my cousin's drum playing all day and night was really out of order.

But he's musically gifted and he's so good at playing the drums! Hmm They are genuinely baffled as to why their neighbours aren't as impressed as they are. Grin it's embarrassing!!

Have you got any metal pans and spoons - go in to the garden and drown the CFs out. Just tell them you wanted to join in.

Wow they are dedicated. You got to give them that Grin

I think you need to pop something through the door listing studio hire in the area. And an invoice for earplugs Grin

After nearly 9 and a half hours it has finished.

I've just seen them pile into a tiny car and drive off Grin
