Hi all, I'm applying for a job at Toto energy as a sales rep (basically I knock on people's doors asking if they want smart metres) it is classed as a self employed job but I'm wondering if you actually get a basic wage on this? Any info would be appreciated

Thanks

No advice I'm afraid, but I will now have that song by Toto in my head for the rest of the week!

There’s nothing that hundred men or more could ever dooooooo

topcat2014 · 27/06/2018 18:06

Africa..

dudsville · 27/06/2018 18:08

I'm really sorry, I to thought this was going to be some update about the band. Might want to change your thread title!

MimsyBorogroves · 27/06/2018 18:09

Do you have to bless the rains down in Africa?

MissusGeneHunt · 27/06/2018 18:09

Or Dorothy's dog.

Sorry OP, no idea. Should be in the application pack though?

BananaToffo · 27/06/2018 18:10

Usually not.

Paying you a "wage" of any kind would make you an employee. If they are specifying that you will only be self-employed generally means they have no intention of paying you a wage.

Be careful, OP.

Confusedbeetle · 27/06/2018 18:12

Dont do it

SmashedMug · 27/06/2018 18:12

It'll be some sort of commission based wage. So you could knock all day and earn nothing.

tillytoodles1 · 27/06/2018 20:44

My daughter's dog was called Toto.

ReservoirDogs · 27/06/2018 21:09

On the basis I say no thank you when they phone to ask this I would.be shutting the door too.

I suspect you will not be getting many yes answers which lead to yo earnjng anything at all

ScreamingValenta · 27/06/2018 21:11

I thought this was going to be about the 80s band Blush

Best of luck OP!
