Botox for spot between brows?

FacelikeaBagofHammers · 26/06/2018 14:05

Hi

I'm 37 and over the past year, have developed a really 'active' muscle between my brows and have a constant line there, it's driving me mad!

All I ever see in a passing mirror is that frowny line between my brows and I feel like I just look constantly grumpy and older than my years. The rest of my skin is ok, it's just that one spot.

Have any of you had botox just for this spot? Have you been happy with the results? I'm very tempted but worried it wouldn't look natural. Would you recommend it?

Thanks

Yup. It’s your “11’s” that you’re referring to.

If you only want one area done it won’t cost much.

YEP got my sausage done a few times. Need it done again though!!

DayManChampionOfTheSun · 26/06/2018 14:20

I will be having this soon too! Dp is totally against botox but I say fuck him! It's how you feel that matters :) go for it OP! Just research and get a decent place to do it

I had my forehead and 11's done three weeks ago. (I'm the same age).

Went back today for them to review it and I got my crows feet done and some lip fillers.

I love my lips. The lines off my head have reduced by 90%.

Hoping the ones round my eyes do too.

Make sure you go somewhere that's reputable. It's your face. You don't want it going wrong.

Thanks everyone!

I'm in Dublin if anyone can recommend anywhere?

Is there a risk of looking unnatural or noticeable with just that one area done?

I got my forehead vagina done 2 weeks ago. Cost me £180 and took about 2 minutes to do. Barely even felt it. Regret not getting it done sooner.
People only notice when I point it out and show them what it was like before.
I get married in a couple of weeks so wanted it done for then and was very nervous before hand but there was absolutely no reason to be.
It's great in this weather as it doesn't show up when when I squint at the sun.
I go back next week for a follow up appointment with the doc but I don't think I'll need a top up or anything.
Oh, I'm 34.
Do it! Smile

Does it help long term with reducing frowning in this area? I'm hoping it might 'deactivate' that muscle!! Maybe that's just wishful thinking :(

Aw this just made me laugh so much

FacelikeaBagofHammers · 26/06/2018 15:56

LOL @Jackandrose, do you wear nice clothes? Get your hair done? How vein and rediculous!

Yes, started Botox when I was 37, have it once a year and I absolutely love it. That line is gone and once a year is enough. I don't want to have the plastic frozen look.

Go for it!

JJS888 · 26/06/2018 15:57

Jackandrose what made you so bitter? I hope your life improves and makes you less sour.

Ta77Blonde · 26/06/2018 15:58

I recommend Hylagen in Newry! Look at their website online.

www.hylagen.com/contact-us

Reasonable prices for Northern Ireland in comparison to Dublin

Mari50 · 26/06/2018 15:59

I have had mine done a couple of times, I also get my forehead lines done too.
My crease is fairly deep and if I wanted a totally smooth look I’d need to have fillers as well but I’m happy for it to not look too frozen.
I’ve got mixed feelings about Botox, although as the last injections are wearing off completely I’m considering it again (last done in October)
And yes, you do stop using the muscles as much because there’s no point trying as nothing moves so once it wears off a bit you find your face has retrained itself a little. I used to frown a lot especially when driving, not so much anymore.

Jackandrose, I've just read a thread where you were being rude, and now this one. Ae you in a mood today

This is the third thread today I've been on where you have been a nasty twat for no reason at all.

Maybe better to ask people for advice for your issues instead of taking it out on them eh? Just saying.

itsbritneybiatch · 26/06/2018 16:11

I'm getting married in about a year also.

I'm also going to lose some weight and get breast implants. I actually cannot wait. I'm now in a position to afford them and I am sooo excited!

MoveOnTheCards · 26/06/2018 16:12

Ooh, i’ve been thinking about this too. Any solid London recommendations?

itsbritneybiatch · 26/06/2018 20:27

Lips are sore now. Bit bruised. Happy to post a pic if anyone wants to see.

FacelikeaBagofHammers · 27/06/2018 08:45

Would love to see the pics itsbritneybiatch!

Get it done Op, you won't regret it.

I've not had my 11s done but get my forehead done. I will be getting my 11s done when they start to become more obvious.

Prevention is better than cure.

You won't feel a thing.

itsbritneybiatch · 27/06/2018 13:19

I have put a bit of powder on the area above my top lip as it's bruised and looks a bit like a tache!
