AIBU--can't think of a thread title

I have been asked told to attend training today in a premises about 7 miles away. I don't work Wednesdays. WIBU to claim back travelling time on top of the training time. They haven't offered to travelling expenses.

How are you getting there and how much will it cost?

7 miles isn't very far. Are you in a car or public transport?

If this is for your job, of course they should offer to pay expenses.

If this happened to me at my place of work I would be paid for the day plus expenses. YANBU.

It's Tuesday?

Sorry l should have said the training was held on a Wednesday which l don't work so it was arranged for today. I also don't work Tuesdays. So it was bang in the middle of the day. It lasted 1 1/2 hours and took me 20 minutes each way as it was at lunchtime in the centre of town.
