Pregnant, D&V, stuck on a campsite 😩

Last night of our honeymoon and 31 weeks pregnant today. Have woken up with what I can only imagine is food poisoning, in a fairly basic campsite, in Dorset. We drove a couple of hours from Cornwall yesterday so at least we’re a bit nearer home for the last leg of the journey in the morning! I feel absolutely vile though and have no idea how I will sit in a car for any length of time.

AIBU to think this is the shittest (quite literally) end to a honeymoon ever?

Oh and the lights have just gone off in the toilet so now I’m sat on the loo in the dark, with a bucket between my legs.

Oh you poor thing, that sounds totally horrendous. Hopefully it'll be a short lived thing and you can sleep it off in the car tomorrow.

This will make for an impressive story to tell your baby one day at least! Whenever anyone you know complains of d&v you will ALWAYS be able to trump it.

For now, just make sure you stay hydrated as best you can. If you're resigned to a night in the toilet block then maybe take a couple of pillows that you can just bin in the morning?

Thanks for your reply! Felt so desperate last night!! Felt awful being in the main toilet block too as no one wants to hear/see that and I was worried I could’ve spreading a nasty bug. Thankfully it only lasted a couple of hours and I’ve managed to keep some horrible dry breakfast biscuits down this morning. Think I must just have eaten something that disagreed with me and sensitive pregnancy stomach was a bit more enthusiastic about it than usual. Lying on the beach feeling a bit sensitive whilst DP does a nice morning swim before our drive home now! (I’ve left the emergency bucket in the camper just in case though!)

Poor you OP! My tummy was really tender towards the end with both of my sprogs. Glad you are a bit better Flowers

I Feel for you IncyWincyMouseRat My friends and I had to endure a 10 hour drive home from Cornwall once (the M5 and the M6 were shut/gridlocked so we had to take the A Roads) whilst my friend suffered with D&V all the way back. She just kept begging "Please leave me here, I'll find a Premier Inn". 'Twas a terrible time Sad
