I know, I know, still the quiet, the dark, rhe MN

northern he is unshakable, we had enormous thunderstorm a few weeks ago and ended up with DS1 (7) DS2 (5) DD (10 months) AND dog in bed with us.

DH stayed firmly asleep whilst the house literally rocked and everyone boiled me in love!

I get the frustration.

Frequently I go to bed first, struggle to fall asleep, then DH waltzes in and is snoring in less than a minute. I then find it even harder to get to sleep due to the a) snoring, b) irritation that he can fall asleep so quickly!

Infuriating!

How do they do it?

Head on pillow, snorting within 2 mins. I’m laying there wondering if Big Bertha will be kind to me in prison when I go down for his (justified) murder.

And don’t get me started on being woken up by the sun deciding join me in my room at ‘Gawdknowswhattime’

YANBU my husband could sleep thru the end of the world... he could fall asleep during a high speed motorway crash... honest to god it drives me nuts because I am the worst at both falling asleep and staying asleep and I am so so jealous
He doesnt even appreciate what a gift it is because he complains about it like 'oh I wanted to stay up and watch the film!' and im all like 'Oh sorry dear was it difficult having that ten hours of unbroken sleep you got? Life must be so hard for you!'

Exactly the same problem here -awful snoring yet falls asleep as head touches pillow. He tells me he cracked not being able to fall asleep by thinking of list of things & now it just happens naturally.
Doesn’t work for me because I get irritated making the list. Spend the night trying to push DH onto his side to stop the snoring Waaah!
Would ask him to sleep in spare room but can’t at the moment.

Hahaha, my OH hates this about me too. Eight minutes would be a long time for me, I'm usually asleep within 1 or 2 at most.

AjasLipstick don’t get me started on turning off my mind, that’s what dp always says. How am I supposed to do that!

He does NOT LIKE CUDDLES but I force myself on him and 3 mins at night in bed is really my limit...

We also spend a lot of time holding hands/touching feet etc so he’s not against all physical contact just most of it
