Just that really. How long did your honeymoon last in your relationship/marriage? And when did you realise it was over?

Do you mean the honeymoon or the honeymoon period?

Honeymoon1 · 24/06/2018 20:58

We went two nights to Paris because DH had to teach the first day of term the Tues after our Saturday wedding. Short and sweet Grin

My honeymoon was 3 weeks, my marriage is 18 years old.
Honeymoon period has long gone but I’m still happy

Xiaoxiong · 24/06/2018 21:01

Sorry OP, totally missed the point of your post!!! no identifiable beginning or end to honeymoon period, just had our 8th anniversary.

dudsville · 24/06/2018 21:01

11 years and counting. Never married. Together since the moment we meet on our first date and can't see an end in sight. I'm sorry you're suffering op. Happiness exists.

BananaHarvest · 24/06/2018 21:04

We didn’t do an actual honeymoon. We were back at work on the Monday but had several treats away over the following six months.
Honeymoon period? The odd bad day and rude word but I think we’re stil in it nearly 30 years later.

I cycle in and out of the honeymoon period. I'm not in it constantly but it's never long before that mad flush of love floods me again. Together 8 years, married 5.

catenthusiast · 24/06/2018 21:32

We had a week of actual honeymooning, I'm not sure we had much of a honeymoon period as we were having a bit of a shitter the year we got married but we got through the tough times together and I think that helped us. We're out the other side now and stronger for it. We've been together for 7 years now (started dating at college) and we've grown together the whole way.

5 days after we married.
50 years since.
Every day's a delight.

Honeymoon period kicking in again now the kids are more independent. First weekend away on our own together (without having to find someone to look after the kids - they're 17, 19 and 21) this weekend just gone and it was fab . . . in a tent . . . by the beach. No kids, so we took all the things they don't like to eat! Did what we wanted, when we wanted.
