Why do both my teen DC do this?

Phone/music player/YouTube without headphones in - play 15 seconds of a song, scream I LOVE THIS SONG and then immediately skip to next song, then repeat. So I get to hear the first verse of 5984 songs in a row.

And if they both do this at the same time, different songs I honestly think my brain may explode

can you not insist on headphones been worn?

In this instance they were lost and turns out they got washed in the machine again so not working

If I'm honest; I wouldn't. Id use this as an opportunity to teach the importance of looking after them - no headphones, no music. That means making sure you know where they are and that they're not in the wash/on the floor/left anywhere.

If you do buy more headphones I'd probably buy the bulkier noise cancelling ones. They can't as easily be washed and can just be used at home if they don't want to wear them out and about

Could you buy yourself a pair of noise cancelling headphones and leave them to it?

I must be really old, as when I was a teenager I would listen to the same song on repeat 5984 times - which is probably just as annoying!

Yeah I don’t get it - I would also listen to the same song! So I don’t understand the constant song skipping

Maybe this is because it was hard to do it on a cassette tape
