DD Year 9 is pictured on the front page of this week’s school newsletter, in a race from sports day.

Lovely photo but I wondered why on Earth she was wearing tracky bums under her PE skort on a boiling hot day.

We have to wear them in school and I couldn’t be bothered to take them off, was the answer. Grin

So you have to wear tracksuit bottoms under your skort in lessons/around school? Why?

Because we’ve been told it might be distracting especially if there are visitors.

It’s an all-girls private Catholic school. AIBU in thinking this is unacceptable?

What on earth are “tracky bums”?

noblegiraffe · 24/06/2018 16:41

Why is the PE uniform a skort and not just tracksuit bottoms then? Both is just weird.

Tracky bums. Slang/colloquialism for tracksuit bottoms.

Skort. Looks like a skirt from the outside but is in fact running shorts with a skirt as an outer layer.
