111 for my 18 month old DS? He has been poorly last few days, at first I thought it was teeth as he does have a couple coming through but he's been burning hot (temp around high 38's) even after calpol, refusing food normally a brilliant eater altho still drinking, very sleepy (but not un-stirrable) and generally very sad & clingy. He's asleep in just a nappy cause he's so hot but no open windows/fans etc but is it best to get him checked/some advice or am I being OTT?

Won’t hurt to call. If they deem it necessary they will sort you out an appointment.
YWBU to go to a&e without calling.
Simply calling? Go for it. It will set your mind at rest.

Although if you can open a window of get a fan on him it might help. I’m not in the uk so not sure if the bedroom temperatures.

Could be anything but when mine refused food it was often tonsillitis.

Why no open windows?

Follow your instinct and give them a call, even if you just get some advice it will put your mind at ease- it's what the service is there for. Hope little one feels better soon

I'd ring, they've always been really helpful when I have. If they think you need to see someone they'll arrange an out of hours appointment, and it'll put your mind at rest to get him checked.

Ring them. Always trust your instinct as a parent.

Why no open windows or fan? I couldn’t be comfortable like that let alone with a fever poor lad.
