Yes. I am probably being unreasonable posting in AIBU but have had no replies in other threads. just want to ask if anybody knows what binka has the largest holes as I am trying to teach my son a bit of sewing.

Well I've never bought binka but I've seen it so my probably useless advice is that 6 count is the one with the biggest holes.

Poor you! I think 6 count Binca/Aida is commonly used for primary school kids. The count is holes per inch.

Lower the number more open the fabric, it's the number of threads per inch. 6 count aida is around, but I've always found it hard to get hold of.
Depending on the type of sewing you want to do, it might be an idea to just get some felt, unless it's embroidery there's no real benefit to using something like aida.

If you do go for binca and don't have it locally I can recommend Lakeside Needlecraft.

Their prices are great and they have super fast delivery. I ordered from them yesterday afternoon and it arrived this morning! I'm not affiliated with them in any way - just a big fan. Grin
