AIBU not wanting to go on hol?

My partner wants us to go abroad with our 3yo. We have been on quite a few holidays and they are never that enjoyable. He shouts at me for little things because he gets stressed easily. He says he is bored and needs holidays. AIBU?

YANBU. Holidays aren't fun if they mean doing all the things you normally do but in unfamiliar circumstances and with someone who shouts at you. Think about why you would rather be at home. If it is because you have to spend less time with your partner then send him abroad permananetly.

what does he propose to do to make your life less unpleasant? what are his plans for being nice to be with ?

Tell him to go himself. If DH shouted at me on holiday he’d be wearing a cocktail and looking for a room of his own.

I don't bother with holidays anymore. I was the one that has to do all the packing, then DH would moan all the way there, because I hadn't packed certain clothes or shoes he wanted. When we got there he would moan about the price of everything, or the weather. When we got home, he would sit in the garden, while I unpacked, and put the washer on. I needed a holiday, after the one I'd just had. Which is why I can't be arsed anymore.

Separate holidays ? He can go with a mate, fishing or rock climbing, parachuting, skiing or sky diving. You go with DC and a friend, somewhere family friendly with a crèche, wine and nice food. He can do his own packing!

I love a good holiday, I've gone at least twice a year with my children from being 6 months old. But... my husband doesn't shout at me all the time...
