It makes me want to scream.
May the luck of the raven's eye be with you .

Who or what is 'Raven'? The feathered animal or the Nickolodeon show from a few years back? Confused

Abra1de · 22/06/2018 19:12

Or the character on The 100?

ReanimatedSGB · 22/06/2018 19:16

It's a quiz/competition thing on CBBC. Kids have to climb things and solve puzzles with a lot of mystic magic (but fairly enjoyable and harmless) bollockery thrown in.

Lycanthropology · 22/06/2018 19:18

The poem by Edgar Allen Poe?

Lycanthropology · 22/06/2018 19:18

Oh I see, ignore me.

DozyDoates · 22/06/2018 19:22

I thought this was a thread about using Raven as a baby name...

LIZS · 22/06/2018 19:24

It is very old - 10+ years - unless they've revived it.

whifflesqueak · 22/06/2018 19:26

What? That was a thing when I was young enough to be watching cbbc. Can’t believe it’s still going.

ImperfectTents · 22/06/2018 19:26

Limmys falconhoof makes me think of raven

ShinyMe · 22/06/2018 19:31

Whaaaat? How can you hate Raven? It's fabulous!

It was a series for a long time through the mid 2000s, with James Mackenzie, who I had such a crush on. It's now back, with a lady Raven - I have like 20 episodes recorded to catch up on but I don't think I'll enjoy her as much as I liked old Scottish beardy Raven. I would have LOVED to have gone on the programme as a kid - the outdoorsy, medieval type challenges would have been right up my street. It's like Crystal Maze meets Lord of the Rings, for kids.

LIZS · 22/06/2018 19:39

Can't believe I did not know it was back! And both dc apparently did and have fond memories of the original.

user1andonly · 22/06/2018 21:15

Another one who has happy memories of watching the original Raven with my dc, now in their late teens/early twenties! They were young enough to love it but old enough that we could all take the mick out of it at times, like when they'd make out they'd all been camping in the forest overnight! We would also have a laugh if someone was really bad at a simple task or fell off the first obstacle on the way of the warrior Blush

I used to say "Are you prepared? Then go!" in my best Scottish accent when sending them off for a bath or to get in the car!

Sigh! Good times!

The Raven is dishy though.
