My neighbors were really noisy we have a long history of issues since we moved in namely their 7 yes 7 dogs barking all night every night tbh I think his wife had MH issues and was the driver with the animal
She has moved out and he has reduced to 2 dogs

However for about a year now we had an alarm issue the walls are thin his alarm starts at about 6am and it’s still going off now and it’s nearly 8 he can’t be still sleeping that’s nearly 2 hours of alarm it didn’t bother all the time depending on how tired we are but when you not had a good nites sleep it really impacts in the morning should I say anything or just be thankful the dogs have gone

You bang on the wall or get up, go round and knock the door until he answers. Then say "hear that alarm... so can we, for 2 hours. Turn it off".

Metoodear · 22/06/2018 13:42

But my thing is can’t he hear it surely he can’t sleep through itConfused

No way would I be lying there for 2 hrs being annoyed by their alarm. Bang on the wall and shout or knock on their door and tell them to turn it off

Stephisaur · 22/06/2018 16:36

When was the last time you saw him?

My alarm would go off for a set amount of time before turning itself off if I wasn’t there to snooze it/turn it off. I forgot to unset it a couple of time when I was at uni and it drove my housemate mad until he told me about it.

I’m just worrying (probably unnecessarily) that if it’s happening a lot and you maybe haven’t seen him in a while then maybe something is wrong.

If you see him out and about though, just tell him you can hear it through the wall.

Some people are incredibly deep sleepers. I've been known to sleep through 30 mins + of alarms before now.

I'd love to be one of those people that's awake the second the alarm goes off - it would be far more convenient

CanaBanana · 22/06/2018 17:53

Have you spoken to him about it?

nottinghillgrey · 22/06/2018 17:54

Why have you not said anything to him in a whole year?

pastabest · 22/06/2018 17:57

Argh my DM does this!

She sets her alarm every day for work but she's always up and in the shower before her alarm goes off and often doesn't bother going back in to switch it off. My DF gets up even earlier for work so isn't bothered by it.

Unless someone else is staying there and walks in and throws it across the room switches it off, she just lets it run out of steam by itself.

justilou1 · 23/06/2018 01:37

Call the police and act like you’re worried that he must be dead every time this happens?

Call the police and act like you’re worried that he must be dead every time this happens?

It's a bit late to suddenly feign concern. It's been going on for a year!!

Metoodear · 23/06/2018 10:20

Because of the dog issue it took ages of arguments and recriminations to get them to sort the dog issue and now it’s sorted not sure I want to rock the boat
