I fell over in a car park of the travel lodge, they had a pot hole and I didn't see it and not the ground with force, cutting myself and hitting to hip with force, I am bruised and in a lot of pain in my hip and bleeding so I went to reception and told them what happened and asked if I could clean my wound but the staff were rude and more interested in filling out a form than providing first aid

So tonight I am sleeping on a bed hard as rock in the moddle of nowhere with a lot of pain in my hip, knees and arm ans cant sleep

Am i right to be angry and what can I do? Maybe a complaint to head office ? Or management, there was no manager on today

You're not BU, they should maintain their car park and have a first aid kit.

It gives you such a shock when something like that happens and hurts like hell

@LanguidLobster it sure does I don't like the feeling if falling/ tripping over and I don't think the body likes it either, I'm considering leaving them a 2 star review

"more interested in filling out a form than providing first aid"

That's because it's become much more important in our paperwork and safeguarding obsessed society.

You only have to read a few threads on MN and you'll see that all anyone would suggest is demanding to have a copy of the accident log and refusing to move until they have it and demanding the review their form-filling procedures and awareness.

Don't get me started about Travelodge. Wankers. Get on trip advisor.
Hope you feel better Flowers

Take photos of your injuries. And of the pothole.

ElliePhantW33 · 21/06/2018 01:47

I wouldn't go as far as want a copy of the log but I would rather get help or treatment, We have reached the point where if you seriously hurt yourself you need to fill out a form in order to get help and it's wrong

I remember seriously injuring myself at a GYM and asking for an ambulance and the guy literally said yes but you need to fill out this form first and I looked at him with shock and filled it inas quick as it could be done because my concern was to get to hospital

What kind if mentality is that? In France they require you to help people in law so why can't this happen here in England

@Monty27 thank you I did take some Polaroid but mainly so I could show my facebook friends the horror of this awful pothole and the havoc it wrecked

Tweet it op. I hope you have painkillers and stuff. I will never stay in one of them ever again. It's a shambles.

ElliePhantW33 · 21/06/2018 02:06

Luckily I have opiate pain meds my GP put me on for my knee injury but the fall made it worse so I am zoned out of them at the moment hoping to get a little sleep
