To think boss should respond to emails

I'm so frustrated. There is an ongoing issue at work that I have spoken to my boss about (head teacher) and had assurances it would be dealt with. I have also involved the union and the rep has also contacted the HT on my behalf and requested a meeting and been told one will be set up. But we've heard nothing. The matter is causing me a great deal of anxiety and I just want it resolved.

Today I emailed him about 2 other unrelated matters that I need him to respond to so that I can act on his decision. I reiterated my position on the other matter as well, partly so I could have a written record of my concerns being noted. I also thought I would get a response as he really needs to reply about the other 2 matters. They're not controversial at all, but I can't move forward on them without his decision.

Looks like he's just going to ignore the entire email Angry. What do I do now. Really can't bear the idea of another day in limbo and feel like calling in sick...

Catch him in the hallway and say "good to catch you for a minute; I need an answer to X,Y and Z". Continue until he answers. Or raise a complaint about his conduct.

Speaking in person may be the best way. Some people just do not answer emails. Though a Head Teacher ignoring emails if unintentional would concern me, as some parents in particular only seem willing to communicate this way, wrong as I think it is.

You only emailed him today at least give him a chance to respond

What time did you email? If it was after lunch time I wouldn't be surprised if they just haven't got around to it yet... I am deputy head and still putting my kids to bed after meeting which lasted until 5. I haven't even checked yet.
