Im early 30's. Have jumped from shit relationship to shit relationship. Ditto shit job to shit job. Have learnt alot in process.
I am an 'intelligent' person by exam standards (got good A levels).
I just cant seem to 'get anywhere' in life.
On the one hand, this is frustrating. On the other, I relish the freedom I have of not being tied to a mortgage etc.
I quite enjoy having a simple, minimalistic, low maintenance life, despite my supposed 'intelligence' and 'ability' to do 'better'.
AIBU to ask if any of you have been in a similar situation & how long it took you to get 'there' with wherever 'there' was in respect to your life & goals? What are the key bits of advice you can offer to a hopeless fucker like me Grin?

I'm 48 and still not focussed or sorted. Don't worry too much.

There's a quote.. life is what happens when you're making other plans.

Thanks Sally Smile i think unfortunately one of my problems is lack of making plans. But then if I enjoy life in the meanwhile, is that a bad thing? All my life I have been conditioned to thinking I should plan ahead to the Nth degree. When really, to a certain extent, dont things get sorted one way or another regardless?!

If you are happy then be grateful.
Happiness is hard to come by, contentment too.
Making changes could put lots of pressure and misery in your life so why rock the boat?

Thank you Melon & I 100% agree but financially i am living on a knife edge.. I would love to carry on as I am but realistically it is a precarious position to be in.. but it has worked so far..and therein lies the problem!
