Have no place in response to debate or conversation, they are a Soviet Union propaganda tool. I cannot understand how it is ok to use them, i mean the president of America uses them reguarlly, and ive noticed on all trump threads its usually a 'defence'. Please help me understand ,

I can't believe you're ignoring the issue of straw men in debates. You clearly don't understand fallacies.

ReliefOfChaos · 19/06/2018 18:55

More seriously one person's "Whattaboutism" is another's principle of universality (by which I mean that a principle not universally applied is not ethical, rather than objective truth).

CleverKnot · 19/06/2018 19:46

It's rife practice in modern political discourse, no? I can think of a million examples from DTrump.
