To worry about this?! (Early pregnancy)

Apologies as this should probably go in the ‘pregnancy’ section but hoping someone can help....

I’ve been TTC for 4 years now and have today finally got a BFP after the most recent course of Clomid. I’m on day 31 of my cycle (usually a 33 day cycle). Appreciate that I’m possibly worrying unnecessarily but this is my First BFP.

I thought I was out this month and went to the gym this morning. Did my usual workout of a fairly relaxed run on a treadmill for 20 mins followed by some weights and that’s it. I haven’t done any abdominal work since I’ve been TTC (so I’m prob really weak I’m my core 😂). Ordinarily I don’t think I’d be sore in my stomach after the aforementioned.

Took a test for shits and giggles later this afternoon and it’s positive. Literally in the past half hour my stomach has felt tight, almost like I have to make a conscious effort to ‘relax’ my stomach muscles. This has happened after a fairly carby dinner and I have been trying to eat fairly light lately. Hoping it’s that.

Has anyone else had this symptom? It’s not painful at all, I’m just really aware of it but it may also be psychological because I can’t stop thinking about it.

This sounds nuts I know, but if anyone can help I’d be so appreciative. I otherwise have no symptoms

It sounds like you're suffering from early pregnancy nerves.
Congratulations! Flowers

It's most likely just a weak core and the nerves. Plus early pregnancy can feel a little odd.

I think it's probably in your head OP but understandably so! Congratulations Thanks

Apprehensive1 · 18/06/2018 19:56

Thanks so much! Honestly it’s def not in my head, just an odd right feeling like I’ve done crunches.

With my first I kept feeling like I was about to get my period - bloaty/tight and almost crampy. Have a healthy nine year old now. Good luck I hope your pregnancy works out too!

Treaclepie19 · 18/06/2018 20:07

It probably is a mixture of wind, stretching and general body weirdness.
Hope all progresses well :)

Congratulations! What Treaclepie said.

Congrats on your BFP.
All sorts of funny things can happen with your body when you are stressed. Emotional stress can translate into physical symptoms.
I hope all continues to go well for you.

Ever little thing gets amplified when pregnant. I felt round ligament pain from 6 weeks and the period cramping feeling. Not to mention wind constipation, the hormones kicking in.

Thanks everyone, it seems to have gone now. Does anyone know at what point you can safely rule out a chemical pregnancy? Period would be due tomorrow.

I had pregnancy bloating until my bump actually stated to show for real. You may just be bloated? It doesn't always hurt x

I think that I ruled it out for myself when the period week ended. Purely psychological though, not sure if that’s medically anything.

I agree with Crispy rolls, just from my personal experience.
