Just read news that 2 dogs were thrown from a car at 70 mph on the M25 on Sunday evening, 1 died on scene and 1 is apparently not suffering life threatening injuries but must have psychological trauma (?)
Along side another article about a man in Turkey charged with cutting off all a puppy's limbs + tail.
AREN'T WE SUPPOSED TO BE A CIVILISED SOCIETY??!
What is wrong with people??!

3 young men were also found dead on a rail track. Find that sadder.

AnalUnicorn · 18/06/2018 19:05

Well yes it’s sad and the people that did it were scum. However I don’t feel physically sick.

Aeroflotgirl · 18/06/2018 19:05

Yes it is really awful, poor dogs Sad.

I have more loathing towards people who hit animals, than I do for the ones that hurt other humans.

The punishment for the animal abusers should be whatever they did to the animal.

auntiebasil · 18/06/2018 19:10

We have a cat mutilater in our area. Which is why my cat is indoor.
Start on animals , move on to hurting people. Bastards.

Aeroflotgirl · 18/06/2018 19:11

What is that got to do with the thread starzig, we are talking about animal abuse.

wiccamum · 18/06/2018 19:11

I agree op. There are terrible things happening in the world every day. But what goes through someone’s mind to do something like this to animals?

I have a friend who used to work in equine welfare. Once she found a mare and foal, left starving in a field. The foal was crawling towards her on its stomach, desperately trying to find food. The cruel bastard of an owner had left a hay bale just out of their reach, and tethered them to make sure they couldn’t get to it. Both animals could not be saved. She left the job after that, she just couldn’t stand it any more.

starzig · 18/06/2018 19:19

I thought it was about general sad things

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 18/06/2018 19:23

İts not a competition, Star.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 18/06/2018 19:24

It's terrifying. If they'll do that to a animal They'll have no qualms about doing it to a person.
I pray they're found asap

Fluffypinkpyjamas · 18/06/2018 19:27

Star DFOD. This is about the dogs. They didn’t ask for it. How dare you.

As for the three men killed, all vandals and old enough to know better. I’m sadder by far about the helpless dogs.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 18/06/2018 19:30

Oh come on Fluffy. They didn't deserve that. Good God

Lilacwine1 · 18/06/2018 19:31

I hate animal cruelty. If I read or hear a story, regarding the torture of animals, it stays on my mind for days. You have to be one fucked up piece of shit, to hurt a defenceless animal.

Fluffypinkpyjamas · 18/06/2018 19:32

I didn’t say they deserved it. Think about the poor train driver, how he feels. They shouldn’t have been there , they knew the risks. That’s not saying they deserved it.

LaGattaNera · 18/06/2018 19:34

Wish posters would put a warning in the title when posting stories like this - "to feel physically sick" could mean any sort of post eg that your sandwich was off - really feel upset now and would have like to have had a warning so I didn't open the post - love dogs, work at a dog rescue part time and highly sensitive to hearing more horrible horrible reports Sad

ghostyslovesheets · 18/06/2018 19:37

jesus I try an avoid graphic animal cruelty stuff on FB - do I have to do it here now?

I am fully aware of cruelty - to animals and people - without needing the details :(

CoolCarrie · 18/06/2018 19:41

Bastards, bastards, bastards, that type start on helpless animals and then move on to humans. If anyone harmed any animals that I knew about I would do the same to them and do time for it!

Fluffypinkpyjamas · 18/06/2018 19:43

If anyone harmed any animals that I knew about I would do the same to them and do time for it!

Me too.

Freetogo · 18/06/2018 19:45

I think there should have been a warning in the title too.

Fluffypinkpyjamas · 18/06/2018 19:51

Yes agreed there should be a warning.

fascinated · 18/06/2018 19:53

This is not Turkey, though

Aeroflotgirl · 18/06/2018 20:05

Exactly, LaGatta, those vandals who were killed, were adults old enough to know what they were doing, sad, but they did not have any regard for their safety, these dogs were helpless victims.

CinderRoses · 18/06/2018 20:26

Utterly disgusting. Only the very lowest of the low abuse and mistreat animals. No excuse for it, as if handing the dog into rescue wasn't an option. I would never condone this but at least if they had tied the poor things up somewhere safe where the public would find them they would have stood a chance.

The dog that died was a lurcher. Thrown out and hit repeatedly by car after car on the M25, as if it's life didn't matter. Tossed out like garbage. Lurchers are one of the most gentle, loving, docile types of dog you'll ever come across. So often they fall foul of bad treatment at the hands of those who wish to exploit their speed and then dump then when no longer needed or fast enough to serve a purpose.
