AIBU to ask if you've ever had a premonition?

For the past 3-4 nights, I've had recurring dreams that are extremely vivid in a way I've never experienced. They relate to an event I am attending tomorrow (which I'm not anxious about at all). I'm not the kind of person who reads into these things but it's got me a little spooked. AIBU to cancel my plans tomorrow? A part of me feels like it would be irrational to do so.

I haven’t had what you’d call a woo type one but I have several times been in a situation where I was suddenly aware of what was going to happen (all accidents.) I think that’s more your subconscious mind making an assessment of the situation and projecting out what is likely to happen. It those cases it did happen, but looking back and thinking about it the signs were there, and it was my brain going ‘uhoh... that’s gonna.. yup there it goes.’

It’s up to you. Would not going cause you harm/ work damage etc? Yes it is irrational. Dreams can not predict the future. However is it possible you’ve had something like I describe above - numerous small pieces of information that when put together the subconscious mind projects a likely scenario for?

I would cancel.

I have premonitions too- and they are very powerful.
I am also very sensitive to places and past events.

That's really odd, especially if that kind of thing doesn't normally happen to you. I would cancel I think.

I've had a premonition of sorts. My Father was in the hospice and my brother and I were staying with him Christmas Eve night. I was in the shower and had this horrible sort of feeling come over me. I quickly got back to DF and DB. He died about 40 mins later, early hours of Christmas Day. I've always taken it that it was some kind of sign he was about to die Sad

On holiday I had a really weird dream that my straighteners melted and it ended up quite a big deal. Told DP when I woke up, he practically shat himself when my straighteners blew up at the fuse when I turned them on!! He gives me a suspicious eye when I tell him about my dreams now Grin
