I came on my period on Saturday put a tampon in as you do. It was in for about 4hrs then needed changing got a bath changed it and few hours later took it out for bed used a towel. Now since saturday night I feel like I have been hit with a train.

All achey temp of 39.1 my throat feels like razor blades Havent sleept a wink. Can not breath through my nose at all and can only take little breaths

I am going to the GP this morning does it sound like TSS what will my GP do? Do I need an internal?

Sounds more like a throat infection. Sore throat is not usually a symptom of TSS. Get yourself to the GP. Hope you feel better soon.

Or flu.

No one can diagnose you on the internet. You should wait for your GP appt or, if you’re concerned you need to see someone sooner, call 111 and maybe get to a and e
If they advise it.

Call 111 and describe your symptoms to them

You need to go see a GP - nobody can say what it ‘sounds’ like without examining you. Wait for their advice.

IANAD. I had a similar-sounding throat infection about 6 weeks ago. It was nasty, probably the worst I’ve had. Another school mum had it too.

That said: if you’re concerned about your health, call 111 immediately.

It doesn't sound like typical TSS symptoms but I'm not a GP. Always best to get checked out.

It sounds like flu, which is going. I had exactly what you're describing all of last week. It's only now just reduced itself to a runny nose and slight cough and I'm beginning to feel human again. I'm exhausted though because if it wasn't the total congestion preventing me from sleeping, it was the painful sore throat. I got it about 10 days ago but am almost back to myself now. So hopefully, you'll blast through this and return to good health quickly.

they say tss feels like flu on the little leaflets in tampons. Will soon know when I see the doc.

Hope you're ok op. It's hopefully a coincidence, but the symptoms do sound similar. You're doing the right thing getting checked.

I've never had it, but I don't see anywhere where a sore throat is a symptom. Most all sources mentioned a fever, muscle aches, headache, a rash, and gastrointestinal upset. I'm betting you've either got flu or tonsillitis, but the doctor will know for sure. I hope you feel better.

just thought I would look at my tonsils before i go in the docter ......oh wow they are disgusting massive and full of white spots

that is tonsillitis. Get some difflam down you! Good luck at the Doc!

worst case of tonsilitis docter has seen for years 10 days of antibiotics 8 a day

I read this last night and thought it sounded like tonsillitis but didn't want to say in case it was TSS and you got false reassurance! Poor you. Tonsillitis is the pits.

I have just coughed up the most disgusting huge tissue/phlegm thing its been stuck snice It started now I could not get it up or down (not envy) I can finally breath again through my nose
