DP bit my head off this morning 'stop it with the ultimatums'

My crime? I said we should eat the lamb steaks tonight as the the use by date is today.

Apparently I'm being controlling and unreasonable...and his POV. It doesn't matter of we eat them a day or two later. He's probably right as the smell test can be used but I'll keep you updated if I get food poisoning.

I would eat them today........
Best before fair enough.
But Use By is use by.
Or fling them in the freezer

He’s probably right about the steaks - but it sounds like there’s a lot more to this than meat.

You have lamb, let him do something else for himself and chuck the other bit in the freezer?

More of an annoyed rant thread if anything. Also 'ultimatum' is a bit dramatic isn't it?
