I feel the same, Are you a meat eater?

ScrubTheDecks · 17/06/2018 08:02

It is completely barbaric and uncivilised. I don’t understand how it persists in this century.

CosmicCanary · 17/06/2018 08:06

Humans are vile to animals. We torture them for our own amusement.
There is never any justisifcation for such abuse.

Springleek1 · 17/06/2018 08:06

Raven - I’ve now stopped eating meat Are you?

NormskiNamechange · 17/06/2018 08:10

I’m a vegetarian but I don’t think it is hypocritical to be against bull fighting but still eat meat.

OP YANBU. No doubt someone will come along and tell us it is justified because it is a traditional ‘sport’. Many things were traditional such as displaying severed heads on the Tower of London, bear fighting and other such nonsense. Shall we bring these things back or should we consign them to history where they belong?

Helloisitteaurlookingfor · 17/06/2018 08:13

YANBU.

Unfortunatley there remain so many awful tourist attractions where animals are subjected to abuse, Sea world, circus', zoos. We humans are an absolute disgrace at times.

LakieLady · 17/06/2018 08:15

I think it's appalling and disgusting, as are some of the other practices at Spanish fiestas. I've never been to Spain and never will until they stop all this shit.

I eat meat, but there's a world of difference between eating something that has been humanely reared and humanely killed and putting animals through fear and pain just for fun.

kikisparks · 17/06/2018 08:17

YANBU but things that are just as bad sadly happen in the meat, dairy and egg industries and in sea world etc as PP said. People are happy not to think about it when it suits them.

GobblersKnob · 17/06/2018 08:21

I don't think YABU at all. But the meat, egg, dairy industries are just as barbaric and bring me to tears.

Tbh farming for eggs and dairy are the most despicable things we do to animals imo. Bullfighting, fox hunting etc are exceedingly tame by comparison.

Raven88 · 17/06/2018 08:23

@Springleek1 no I don't eat meat milk or dairy. I just wondered because I know a lot of people who are disturbed by the treatment of animals but they still contribute to the suffering.

Raven88 · 17/06/2018 08:24

I meant eggs not milk

HectorlovesKiki · 17/06/2018 08:24

NYANBU. Our abuse of animals is shameful, as is our human rights abuses. Medieval practises belong in the past, not in these modern times but human greed and ego lives on so the barbaric cruelty, torture and injustice we bestow on any being we can take advantage of lives on.
Appalling human behaviour makes me wonder how I can be part of the same species as these vile abusers.

AtrocityNeedles · 17/06/2018 08:25

I'm Spanish and I think it's fucking barbaric. It doesn't happen in my region and I think it should be banned nationwide, together with all the other horrific practices (and yes, San Fermines, I'm looking at you too).

HectorlovesKiki · 17/06/2018 08:25

I never go to Spain for the same reason as you.

kikisparks · 17/06/2018 10:07

Bullfighting also happens in France Sad

SweetCityStench · 17/06/2018 10:11

Watch the documentary Black Fish, you will never go to a sea life type place again.
