I’m thinking of buying a bunk cot (as distinct from a bunk bed) for my two young children but The Bunk Cot Company which made them has closed down (and no-one else seems to sell a bunk option for cots). Their website gives no reason for the closure (www.thebunkcot.com/) and their product is now sold via another company but only to nurseries. My DH is uncomfortable as to why the cot is no longer sold to the public. AIBU to fear there may have been safety issues at hand? Perhaps they are only sold to nurseries now because staff are supervising children’s sleep during the day at (whereas parents would leave their children asleep overnight in them). Does anyone know what went on with this company and whether the product was considered unsafe for domestic use? This is the product: The Bunk Cot Company 3-in-1 Bunkcot 0-6 yrs (White) www.<a class="break-all" href="https://amazon.co.uk/dp/B0080C8BKG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_LedjBb9EGFWXW?tag=mumsnet&ascsubtag=mnforum-am-i-being-unreasonable-3279295-AIBU-to-think-Bunk-Cots-stopped-being-sold-for-a-reason" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">amazon.co.uk/dp/B0080C8BKG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_LedjBb9EGFWXW
Thanks in advance for any light anyone can shed on this.
