Overbearing/ copying friend... aibu?

I have a friend who I have been friends with for about 7 years now, anyway I don't know if I'm being a crazy woman or what, but she's copied me on getting the exact same carpet from the exact same place as me and also some other household items.
So it's not just the copying that is annoying me, but she speaks to me EVERY DAY! There isn't a time she doesn't speak to me via social media or texts. When I have an incredibly busy day she asks me where I've been and what I've been doing all day!
Bearing in mind we both have children, so you'd think she was as busy as me!
She then gets paranoid if I don't message for an entire day, like an obsessive wife and it's really getting under my skin Angry
I'm thinking of ending this friendship to be honest Confused

I had a friend like that and she became really exhausting to me after a short while. Texted 3-4 times every day saying the same thing, invited herself to my house every weekend, fell out with me if I had plans with another friend.

She actually dumped me as a friend! Apparently I wasn't a very good friend..

You've been speaking to her every day for 7 years? That'd drive me insane how have you put up with it this far?!

GreenTulips · 15/06/2018 18:23

Sounds insecure!
Is she one of those that asks a ridiculous amount of questions.

Tell her you are too busy redecorating your home in purple and lilac hues throughout - including carpet and curtains from xxxx shop. Keep her at arms length for a few weeks, then see if she copies you. Then tell her you've changed your mind.

@Halebeke425 I wouldn't say everyday as such, since she falls out with me if I don't speak to her for a while! Having 2 girls, a home to run and other bits and bobs, I don't have time to speak to friends or even family every second of every day! Her on the other hand, just palms her boy off to her mum for the day!
