To think this ISN'T how you Deliver a Package?

NC just because I'm paranoid including the photo. The photo actually doesn't make it look as careless as it did from the end of the hallway but I didn't want to include our downstairs neighbour's doors.

We live on the 2nd floor of our block of flats, there is an entry intercom system with a highly visible set of buttons to push outside the building to alert us someone is here. Most delivery drivers hit the button even if the front door has been left open, so we know we have a package, and one of us will pop down for it.

I only found out my package was delivered because I was checking my email for something else. I wasn't doing anything today that would have prevented me from hearing the very loud door buzzer. So the delivery person just came in, slung the package on the ground of the ground floor hallway, and fucked off.

I was unimpressed by this when I came downstairs to see it in the corner of the long hallway and was torn between screaming at the carelessness or snapping and farting at it, in how to react. ConfusedConfused

I probably wouldn't be so annoyed had it not been for my fabulous experience yesterday of having a UPS driver sling a package at my feet and walk off without a word. Also the city we live in is well known to have a huge theft problem and we've had packages stolen before.

I know first world problems! But seriously my expectations of customer service are pretty low yet they somehow managed to not even meet those. I don't think expecting them to ring the doorbell downstairs is asking much, at least then they could have slung the package at my feet! Hmm
