To worry about the fish?

The air pump thingy was leaking, I tried to fix it but it has now died altogether. How long before I need to panic on behalf of our goldfish? DS and I are very fond of them.

I'm not much of an expert, but will bump in case someone comes along. You could also try post in fishnet.

Is the filter still working? I would've thought that'd be the main thing. I don't have an air pump, just the outflow from the filter agitating the surface a little bit. Can you reposition the filter outflow to make ripples on the surface?

If they are covered could you take the top off until you can get it fixed?

Don't panic, just get a new pump? Not much else you can do is there?
