i have a app for a "work focused interview" i am a carer for my disabled daughter. due to her disability work is not an option. after looking into it i see if i didnt have children i wouldnt have been expected to attend but as i do i am expected to (so basically because im a lone parent) aibu to think this doesnt sound right??

oh just to quickly add before i forget just before my daughter was awarded her dla i had one of these appointments and the advisor was very pushy and even closed my claiming wrongly (i made a complaint and it was immendiately reinstated) which is why im nervous about it.

i get carers allowance for my disabled son , do you claim income support as well is that why? my friend claims income support and carers allowance (single parent) and she has to attend these occasionally shes says they dont pressure her to work though.

i definitely found them pressurising. the manager called me after the appointment and demanded my exes details as i was pregnant. then closed my claim.
