Holiday planning

DH and I are planning a fairly big holiday for October this year. It's a bit spur of the moment but somewhere we really want to go and we've had a rough year. I have been to the area when I was much much younger and have therefore done lots of research, got prices together and spoken to family and friends who have been there before. DH wants to plan it all himself and gets really resentful if he doesn't think of an idea (even a good one iyswim) but would rather watch tv or mess about with his phone than actually do research or read up on it. He then says he is overwhelmed and doesn't know enough when I try and talk about it. AIBU or is he?

Sounds like you are just different, to me.
Some people like to do lots of research before going on holiday, and others think that is too much like hard work and just want to be spontaneous. Others don't want to do very much at all when they are on holiday.
None of these are Unreasonable. You just have to work out between the 2 of you what you want to do.
