I am speechless. Lib dem Councillor defending Ian Huntley and saying we can't misgender him - i.e. call him a man. Meanwhile they support the transfer of trans-identified male prisoners (42% of whom are sexual predators) onto the female estate.

Maybe it's a double bluff. The lib dems will never get into power so they are pushing this to get this issue into the spot light and to highlight the sheer ridiculousness of it.

I mean no-one sane can actually think Ian Huntly, the rapist, abusive child killer. A man who took the life of two little girls for what, his sexual gratification, should be housed with actual women.

If Huntley wants too e called Lian, wear a skirt, and spend his prison earnings on cosmetics, I have nothing against it. Has anyone? Just as long as it's in a male prison.

I dont know if this is even true? Half the reports say he is now called Lian and half say he is called Nicola?

Do I have to call him she? Should his crime be recorded as perpetrated by a woman? Yesterday Twitter upheld a complaint against someone for 'misgendering him.'

Well; like every prisoner he must be protected against other prisoners. It boils my piss to have read that he got damages when some self-righteous criminal attacked him, but it was right.

But in a male prison he must stay.

Although I can’t help suspecting that while women are generally far less often violent than men Huntley might get torn to shreds in a women’s prison.

Should they not just let some of the mother inmates have 10 minutes with him. Problem solved and no longer a drain on the taxpayer. He murdered two beautiful girls and sexually assaulted them he doesn’t deserve to even be labelled as human!

It is astonishing that some people are falling for this nonsense. The Huntley transgender story is from the Star years ago still being perpetuated and there is nothing current to suggest that Huntley identifies as a woman or wants to be moved to a women's prison.

Twitter is against hate speech including transphobia, and that includes reports of transphobia about a criminal. It's not a binary system. They need to act on all such reports even if the foundation of them turns out to be untrue.

It is really gross how many people seem not to care about the rule of law in the UK. The criminal is receiving his punishment for his horrific crime. What you want to do to him is just disgusting and cringeworthy. Your revenge fantasies belong in your head.

I expect many, many male prisoners' mental health would be much improved by being moved to a majority-female prison, but I don't see the Lib Dems caring about them. It is for Ian Huntley's MH that they are doing this right? [innocent]
