At a theme park, stood in the queue waiting for a ride with the kids.
There is a stroller in front of us and it has fallen backwards because of the weight of bags (I'm guessing).
So after the few people in front of us huffing and kids standing on things that have fallen off it etc when I reach it I picked up, adjusted the weight (just twisted the bag around, didn't remove anything) and picked up the random teddy, blanket etc that had fell on the floor and piled them back on the front of the buggy.
I never really thought anything of it and just thought it was a natural, nice thing to do.
Just as I was putting bits back on buggy the ride had finished and a lady came marching towards me saying, quite loudly, 'that's my pushchair, why are you touching my pushchair'
I was a bit taken a back and obviously people were looking so I just quietly said it had fallen over and I picked t up for her. At which she gives me the filthiest look, grabs the pushchair and muttered 'yea course it did' as she stomped away.
Now I have visions of reading one of 'those' Facebook posts... you know the watch out when you are at xxxx place, there this proper dodgy woman trying to nick stuff off buggy and then pretending it had fell over

So wibu to pick it up??
It's put me off the next good deed.
Also a bit peeved that people around didnt stick up for me and confirm that it had indeed fell over!
Is this really the world we live in where everyone is suspicious and trusts no body??
