I just had to share this with all of you. It rearranges your whole perspective.

I'm struggling how to word a response because, unfortunately, it doesn't rearrange anything for me.

It is very very far removed from my experience of autism, although she did make some good points.

SouthWestmom · 11/06/2018 13:37

Sorry, got as far as her making the 'fish' sign while saying 'overlapping.

What is the point of it?

Bearlover16 · 11/06/2018 13:48

It's a powerful video.
I have a severely autistic child.

Leoparda · 11/06/2018 13:49

Doesn't rearrange, but I knew all this already.

Still a bloody good video though!

Leoparda · 11/06/2018 13:50

Noeuf, you need to stick with it, then you might get it.

TheSconeOfStone · 11/06/2018 13:54

It’s a good video. Reinforces my perspective. My 10 year ASD, intelligent, imaginative but battling with a damaging fight or flight response (school is extremely challenging right now), and I suspect my DH is as well.

TheSconeOfStone · 11/06/2018 13:55

Meant to say 19 year old DD with ASD.

TheSconeOfStone · 11/06/2018 13:56

10 year old! Fat fingers.

SouthWestmom · 11/06/2018 13:58

@Leoparda

What is it saying though? Just about autism? Or political? What's it trying to do?

Leoparda · 11/06/2018 14:01

its about autism, explains a few behaviours. The lady in the video is autistic, as is her son.

SouthWestmom · 11/06/2018 14:22

Oh ok. Probably not aimed at me then.

Firstworddinosaur · 11/06/2018 18:54

Love this, thanks for sharing. It doesn't change how I think about ASC but it's useful to show it to my family
