in resenting funding dd's third-rate enterprise project when I could just give her the £20 they're trying to raise for a day trip?

I have spent £7.50 for tickets to a fashion show (hmm, 'customised' clothes which sounds dodgy unless the SuperGoth group really impress), have given raffle prizes which I'll then spend a couple of quid trying to win, will be forced to buy clay people in jars from the craft stall for £3 and will have to fork out for a fingered fairy cake in the name of 'refreshment'.

Sound familiar?

Yes, it is about the enterprise involved
sounds 'fun'

dire

mine are forever coming back with sponsorship forms

I just fill in random names for made up people (WHY do I feel the need to do this) and bung in a cheque.

Can't be doing with knocking on doors and bothering folk.
