To wonder how to lose 5lbs

I need to lose just 5lbs, can you all
Inspire/help please as I'm really struggling - the scales aren't moving!

Do the 3 day military diet on youtube. It's doable and no exercise required. It even lets you have ice cream.

Low carb?

Cut out/replace the following - bread, pasta, rice, cakes, biscuits.

No nibbling between meals, no alcohol, no sweets or crisps, smaller portions of everything.
One Shredded Wheat for breakfast and another one for lunch with a veg-heavy dinner.

You would have to give us an idea of what you are doing at present.

How long do you want to keep it off for? If it's long term, then a drastic change just to lose it, isn't going to work.

If you actually need to lose it, then you should exercise, just dropping body fat doesn't mean that you lose Visceral fat.

I think I'm in the middle of dropping 10 lbs right now. Must figure out somewhere to weigh self to be sure, but some rings & all clothes seem to be changing to looser fit.

Started end March, finish is end June.

I do one low calorie day/every 10 days or so (800 kcal, following some of the 5:2 ideas) and otherwise am trying to have eating 'restraint' on other days. Which mainly means, reduce the high fat foods & no eating whatever I fancy after tea. I get a lot of exercise normally, anyway.

I had a low calorie day yesterday... mid morning I scoffed a brownie; DS said he never saw me eat anything so fast before, much less that much enthusiasm for a cake. I wonder how fast days are really supposed to work.

I’m trying to lose 5kg to get back to last summer’s weight. It’s coming off slowly. But my jeans are getting looser!
I cut out all sweets/ice creams on weekdays and have limited amounts at weekends. I cut out alcohol Mon-Thurs. Ideally I’d stick to 2-3 beers (low cal) on Fri to Sun, but also have 1/2 bottle red wine at least one of those days.

I try to stick to salad with protein for lunch, so with cooked chicken, tuna, boiled egg, etc.
I have increased my exercise. Walking 5k 3-5 times per week.
I have lost 2kg over 4 weeks.

I love carbs.
I never know what's actually "nice" that I can eat with vegetables

Drink a pint of fruit juice and go for a run. You'll have a massive poo afterwards, that's 2lb.

Then don't drink any water for a day. Dehydrating 3 lb that way is not hard.

Ta dah! That's 5.

Work our your total daily calorie expenditure (you can do this online) then track your calories religiously to ensure you are at a deficit - log everything, even just little mouthfuls here and there!
