Losing the will to live

Another job rejection I feel so down, I was told I had the job but come today email states I’m not needed after all but they’ll keep my details for the next time a vacancy becomes available (yeah right).
100 job applications from part time cleaning to jobs I’m not qualified for and only 2 interviews in the last month.
Would it be unreadable to just chuck myself off a cliff ? But judging my luck my big mummy tummy will keep me afloat
How do I lift my spirits I’m honestly beginning to think there is something wrong with me.

Good advice to up my game and land a job

I don't know you but I am sure there ain't nowt wrong with you!

Could you give more info so people can help?
What hours, (shifts, full time /part time )

You looking at Permanent /Temping?

Area....(qualifications/skills)

You had any feedback back regarding not getting positions?

Benandhollysmum · 07/06/2018 19:15

I’m hoping for permanent but it’s all agency temp jobs I see advertised, I’m dubious if they are real jobs as I’ve applied had 1 interview because they were supposed to be desperate for workers, yet everyday it’s there as new job listing.
Feed back from the interview I was at was good, he thought I was great even invited me to second interview which went to then got the email.
I’m thinking of sitting in middle of a roundabout with a sign over with me with please give me a job
I feel like ARGH!!

Have you asked someone to check your applications before you submit them? I would have thought 100 applications would lead to more than 2 interviews. What is your work history?

NotSuchASmugMarriedNow1 · 07/06/2018 19:22

are your qualifications/training up to date?

notaspornerhonest · 07/06/2018 19:22

And whereabouts in the country? Near a big city?

Benandhollysmum · 07/06/2018 19:51

I’ve been running my own business for 8 years now but it’s took a nosedive and it’s on a loss so I’m seeking employment as cant live on fresh air when I’ve 2 kiddies to support.
Yes I’m a few miles outside Glasgow. I’m applying for everything basically, I’m a hard worker always have been so this sitting about doing nothing is driving me bonkers.

Look for slightly better paying jobs? I know I sound crazy but we cannot find people to fill admin jobs for £19k and just don't get the applicants. Lots of companies only advertise on their own websites and not with the agencies.

notaspornerhonest · 07/06/2018 20:26

I would try nhs jobs
