To ask where you would go on holiday this August?

If you were a young professional couple 25-35 (no kids). Flying from London preferably Stansted-Luton- perhaps Gatwick of Birmingham. Nice relaxing holiday 7-10. What we definitely need is beach good weather maybe water parks.

What's your budget?

If I went abroad in August, it'd either be to the southern hemisphere or the Arctic Circle. Britain's already too hot.

Budget is up to £3000 but flexible for the right holiday

We love a hot place with 30C + for summer holidays :)

Greek Islands for me

As you don't have children, could you defer until September when he kids have gone back to school? You would get much more for your money.

Depends on whether the £3k includes spends?

If there is additional spending money then Cuba or Mexico?

If not, Montenegro or Croatia.

Thanks guys, I've been looking at the Greece too. We've been to Croatia before -it was great! Done Tenerife , Majorca, Sicily and France. I'll have a look into Greece, any specific places where you been and had a great time?

We're looking at going in August as I probably start my new job in the middle of Aug and I don't know if I'll be able to take holidays till Xmas and it also works for my partner work wise.

Not big fun of the USA. Maybe New York at around Xmas. My partner would love it tho but not sure if it could be done if the budget is 3-5k

if your talking Greece, Corfu is good there's a big water park and a good night life in the right resorts, we are going to Kos this august great beaches and i think there's a water park, Rhodes is great

All inclusive Mediterranean cruise, big ship with water slides. Lovely ports.

Or Turkey - there are some amazing hotels , although it can get very hot (doesn’t bother me, I love the heat, but DH found the day it got to 43C in the shade to be a bit much)

I was just browsing holidays on Onthebeach so I changed my search to yours - there are about a dozen 4/5 star all inclusive holidays in Mexico and the Caribbean within your £3k budget. Greece is fab, I love it, but for that money you may as well spoil yourselves!

Santorini is the most beautiful Greek island I’ve been to... has absolutely got to be done before you have kids (it’s totally NOT child friendly!) We had our honeymoon there and it was definitely one of the best holidays of my life.
