To not go to the doctors?

I keep getting migraines lately, or very bad headaches if it's not a migraine. I went just over a week a while ago where every day I had a headache. I get a couple of migraines a month and have started feeling randomly nauseous through the day. Usually never get that.

I don't want to go to the doctor as I'm sure this is all just stress related. Got a lot of stress recently from dealing with big issues in personal life and work life is quite stressful too.

But my partner is starting to get annoyed with me for not going and wants me checked. Should I go? I feel its a waste of an appointment to be honest, and I don't like wasting doctors time.

I would prob try the optician first to be honest

Yes of course you should, but I would ask if you’ve had your eyes tested recently.

I got them tested last year and got transitions put in my glasses as the sky is too bright for my eyes. Being serious, my eyes have recently become really sensitive to light. Not much to be done about that though other than I wear sunglasses outside, which I do now.

I work for a neurologist. Just don't take analgesics for the headache (at all) as an amazingly small amount, taken more than a very few times a month can actually CAUSE headaches (Analgesic Overusage Syndrome). Other tips - get enough sleep, try supplements of magnesium, Coenzyme Q10. Acupuncture often works. If you get a severe continuous headache (with no breaks) and you are feeling throwing up - go to A&E or see your GP right away.

I usually do take ibuprofen for them. Used to take solphadeine for migraines, but became allergic to them so couldn't. Annoying as that's the only thing other than sleep that makes them go away.

I still think it's just stress though. Stress does bad things to the body. Unfortunate thing is I can't get rid of the stress just yet.
