Not an AIBU but wanting traffic. A Swedish airport has revealed how it suggests that girls who are fearful of being taken abroad for forced marriage of FGM should tuck a spoon in their underwear before airport security to raise an alarm. Apparently this has saved a number of girls. Just wanted to share this.

I like the way spreading these articles means it won't work as a safety tactic anymore. Yay for taking away one method of getting to safety!

Surely its a difficult balance...

If you dont spread the information the victims dont know

If you do spread the information the perpetrators know.

On balance best people know as gives a chance to those that need it even if it means they are more likely to be checked for spoons
