To think my friend is unusual

EeyoresEars · 05/06/2018 13:19

Arranged to meet up with a friend who lives on the same estate as me. We see each other at children’s centre stuff quite often but don’t normally meet up 1 to 1.

OP posts:

???? and she's unusual because....

Twickerhun · 05/06/2018 13:20

Ummm
No?
Yes? Hard to say

Aprilshouldhavebeenmyname · 05/06/2018 13:20

How is she unusual??

ShatnersWig · 05/06/2018 13:21

Pressed post too soon?

halfwitpicker · 05/06/2018 13:22

Huh?

gamerchick · 05/06/2018 13:22

She's unusual because she doesn't see you any other time?

FlyingElbows · 05/06/2018 13:22

Nope, I'm going to need more to go on.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 05/06/2018 13:22

Am I just ridiculously slow on the update or is this hard to followConfused

crunchtime · 05/06/2018 13:23

babyspider-it's uptake
slow on the uptake Smile

Waggingmyginger · 05/06/2018 13:23

We'll ... it's rare here but not unheard of for people to make friends at children's centres. You WILL be more likely to meet people outside your usual circle if the only thing in common is the age of your children.

ElderflowerWaterIsDelish · 05/06/2018 13:23

Why is she unusual?.. just because you live in the same state doesn't mean you get a free pass to hang around her house every day...she has her own life and her own daily routine, and meeting at children's centres is probably handy for her, because the kids play, she gets a friendly chat before she goes back to her normal daily routine...

Plus are you really such a good friend to her if you are calling her unusual on a public internet forum?

SillyMoomin · 05/06/2018 13:23

....she has 4 legs
..... she's actually an alien from the planet Zorgongon
.... she doesn't like gin?

Ohmydayslove · 05/06/2018 13:24

No thing we need that update. Grin

ElderflowerWaterIsDelish · 05/06/2018 13:24

*live in the same estate...damn autocorrectHmm

Iputthescrewinthetuna · 05/06/2018 13:25

No, not unusual. Me and one of my closest friends have been friends for many many years! 6 kids between us, we have met up 4/5 times without children. Speak daily, coffee weekly - with kids in tow.

LanaKanesTerfyVagina · 05/06/2018 13:25

..........because she actually gets to the point??

Dobbythesockelf · 05/06/2018 13:25

You're right she sounds really strange......

SaucyJack · 05/06/2018 13:25

It's not unusual to meet up at sure start for lunch.
It's not unusual to not meet up for 1 to 1.
But when I see you hanging about the estate with anyone.
It's not unusual to see me post on MN.

TheBogWitchIsBack · 05/06/2018 13:25

Intriguing.

FizzyGreenWater · 05/06/2018 13:25

This is incredibly unusual.

She has crashed through all kinds of unspoken boundaries and I am not surprised that you are completely blindsided.

If I were you I would log this with 101.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 05/06/2018 13:26

Oh yeah, dohGrin

VogueVVague · 05/06/2018 13:26

Hurry the fuck up with the update!
This better be good. I mean really good.

MissBax · 05/06/2018 13:27

YADNBU, she is a CF of the highest order!

MarklahMarklah · 05/06/2018 13:27

Um.
Struggling to see anything that suggests the friend is unusual.

magoria · 05/06/2018 13:28

Is she a cyclops? I bet she is. Just so unusual nowadays.
