To think I have a useless Superpower?

Well, this is a little weird but I have always wanted to ask if anyone else has strange powers/premonitions.

My "powers" come and go ( come about two, to three times a year ). Out of the blue I suddenly know which person I am going to meet/see in the very near future - say within next 30mins mostly. But I don't simply know it, I sort of "see" them in another person. Say, I'm on a bus and think: hey, there's my classmate from school. Just as I'm about to go and say hello, it turns out it is not my classmate but a stranger. And really, that stranger looks NOTHING like my classmate. When this "hallucination" happens, I already know that I will meet that actual person very soon. And then it happens- I meet them.
It has been happening for the past 20 years and it still always surprises me.

The people it happens with can be close to me - relatives, friends - or complete strangers I happen to know by their looks. In fact, the last person whose presence I could foresee, was a cross-dressing man I have seen in local coffee shop. Don't know anything about this person. However, in a different town, as I'm walking: hey, there's that man from a coffee shop! As I get closer: ermmm..no, a completely different person, a woman. Very soon after that I joined a queue in a shop, to realise the person ahead of me IS the cross-dressing man from my town.

I mean, whats the point?? Why does this happen? Why is it so random? I feel excited in a way when my "super power" strikes, but it's utterly pointless. I always thought super powers were meant to save the World but this is actually useless?! And it's unpredictable, so I can't win any talent shows. Can't get rich with this so I actually have to work for a living!!! Confused
Having said that, if I foresee someone famous and rich, it might give me time to reapply my lippy Grin

Hasn’t happened to me but I’m fascinated. I wonder if anyone else has had these experiences, if it’s a more common phenomenon than we may think.... definitely marking my place!

Remembered - I did once try to use this to my advantage. I saw ( in another person on a street ) a man that had a tendency to harass me, make sexual, lewd comments, etc. So I changed my intended walking route immediately and never met him.. But then again I can't say with a 100% conviction that I would have met him had I walked on as intended. Would be cool to have a chance to do "run Lola run" and compare scenarios.
