Selling shoes to fetishists?

I have lots of lovely heels I can no longer wear. I sprained my ankle badly a few years ago and it has never recovered. My beloved shoe collection is languishing sadly in the spare room while I slope around in Hush Puppies and biker boots. Sigh.

AFAIK, the best way to make money from selling off old shoes is to sell them to fetishists. 🤔

AIBU to ask whether anyone has done this? Where did you sell them? Any hints or tips on not getting ripped off / too icky / maximising money potential?

Depends on how used they are.
For example, if they could pass as new, or only lightly worn, i'd recomend Ebay. I've bought a second hand pair of shoes from there myself (worn for a photoshoot only)

You could still sell on well used shoes on there, but really, i don't think theres that much interest unless they're a particular "look" shoe. You know, very deliberately kinky/sexy.

One pair could pass for kinky, the rest are normal courts / spike heeled sandals etc. A mix of barely touched and well used.

I think the fetishists buy used shoes for the smell of them, don't they? That's what it looks like from the Ebay listings that I see from time to time. It's always really manky old shoes, described as "well used" - the style doesn't appear to be important.

As yours are nice shoes, OP, it might be easier just to sell them to normal people. I've done very well with selling unwanted nice shoes on Ebay.

TBH I don’t think they actually go for as much on eBay as people like to make out.

Put them on eBay, with something like "although they are still in good condition, I have worn them, with and without stockings, but am sure a squirt of febreeze would remove any lingering odour".
Think of a price and double it, put them on buy it now, and when they sell, email and ask if the buyer would like you to wear them for a day or two before posting.

Wow. I have a pair of really vile smelling trainers but may not be the right style of shoe. Surely there's some Adidas shell toe smelly foot fetishists out there....
