21st Birthday gift. Help!

Please, please, please. I need suggestions for a 21st birthday gift for a male relative.

We haven't seen him for about 3 years so I don't know what he's into but I know the gift will come under scrutiny so I need something good / thoughtful. The snag is I haven't a clue...

Any bright ideas? And I don't want to spend more than £100..

You need to ask his parents or someone else close to him for advice!!

Cufflinks?

PartyAnxiety · 04/06/2018 10:25

Does it have to be a physical gift? Will vouchers come across badly? If it's meant to be something he keeps how about a really nice pen? Or Pen knife if he's more of a man's man?

tierraJ I asked his parents and the reply was 'what is your budget' which without going into the background is a bit of a loaded question.. his grandmother had no clue..

Cufflinks / nice pen could be a good idea? Personally I'm not into vouchers but I know others like them (unless they are John Lewis!!)

Many thanks

Pen
Cufflinks
Hip flask (can have engraved with initials)
Wet shave set-look at Edwin Jagger
Bottle of whiskey and pair glasses (LSA ones are nice)
Card wallet by luxury brand like mulberry

One of the most well received gifts I gave to an 18yo was a bottle of 18yo malt, can't remember the name but it had the year printed quite clearly so it was obvious I was trying to tie in and make it personal. Went to a wine & spirits merchant rather than supermarket or local offy and explained what I wanted. Quick google has shown Master of malt have a few 1997 whiskeys available within your budget.

Initial cufflinks are a good idea

Nice watch?

MyOtherUsernameisaPun · 04/06/2018 15:21

Nice sunglasses

Watch (maybe something like a Nokia smart watch?)

Drone camera if he's into gadgety things

Really good quality leather wallet

Nice leather belt (tommy hilfiger or similar)

Hip flask, flatcap and braces?

Peaky blinders is huge at the moment. Bit naff but he may love it.

Voucher for local venue to see a band? (Don't even know if that's a thing or not)

Aged bottle of spirit

Really difficult when you don't really know them.

Expedia voucher?
