Wwyd about this interview?

Have an interview early this morning , have been up in the night with the baby and hay fever for the past few days and have bloodshot eyes and constant sneezing and snivelling from the hay fever.
Wwyd? I don't feel like I can perform at my best level , wasn't feeling confident anyway.

Antihistamine tablet, eyedrops and nasal spray. Good shower and scrub, spot of make up, head up high and remember they picked you for and interview for a reason.

Don't give up, fight for the job you wanted!!

Take a hay fever tablet. Explain when you meet you have awful hay fever this morning. Do your best and
GOOD LUCK!

Seriously , this time of year these things happen, it doesn’t make you a worse candidate and if the interviewer was judging on appearances only why would you want that job anyway?

FASH84 · 04/06/2018 10:22

This sounds like a poor . Antihistamines, take tissues, when you get there explain you have hayfever.

PartyAnxiety · 04/06/2018 10:24

I do think you should go, not turning up for the interview (even with excuses) might immediately disqualify you from the job. Do as much as you can for the hay fever and explain why you're eyes are red and do your best. Often the adrenalin will see you through even when you're tired and feeling grotty. Good luck!

Listener73 · 04/06/2018 10:26

I would definitely go and explain the situation! Hopefully the adrenaline of the situation will pull you through.

If you don't go today you may not get your chance. Good luck!

If there is a Boots anywhere near the interview stop and get this:

www.boots.com/boots-allergy-barrier-nasal-spray-800mg

I get dreadful allergies. I was on the verge of being sent home last summer as I was in such a state. Someone gave me that to try. Literally 5 minutes later I had stopped sneezing and didn’t feel horrifying.

Get a neti pot for the future too. Regular nasal irrigation will really help keep it under control in conjunction with antihistamines.

Good luck and knock ‘em dead.

Thanks all, I went along to it and felt ok about ! So let's see , fingers crossed. Came home to my keys left by the cleaner so looks like I'll be spending today looking for another one !
