I really want a change in career but I'm struggling for ideas on what would be a good love for me.

For the last few years I have worked in sales for various commercial fit out companies. I'm finding sales in general to be unfulfilling, unsocialble and overly stressful for limited reward (commission and bonus have dwindled over the years).

I'd like to retrain. Preferably a job where i can work and train at the same time. A job that is people based and makes a difference to people and society.

I can't afford to go back to uni so really has to be on the job training.

I live in Yorkshire and have a partner and 2 beautiful DSC. I want to do something that will be a good foundation for us as a family and has progression potential.

Any ideas? Smile

Be careful what you wish for OP, 'rewarding jobs' are often stressful and not amazingly paid. That said you can train to be a probation officer on the job and get a degree level qualification training rate is about 23k, jumping to 30k when you qualify which takes around 18 months to two years depending on your current education and experience.

There are many routes up from that point

Emergency care assistant for the ambulance service. Progression to Paramedic on the job. Hard work but very rewarding career all based around people skills.

These are both really interesting suggestions thank you! I'm not opposed to stressful or even lower paid but I'd like a purpose to the stress if that makes sense. If it is benefiting someone and having a postitve impact then I'm all for it. Right now my stress, extra hours etc are only lining someone else's pockets and is so impersonal.
