To put windchimes up?

My neighbours are beyond weird. They've suddenly decided since we told them we're moving that we don't need our drive anymore, and constantly block it, or park their car behind it. We solved that issue by blocking them in last weekend with 3 cars and went out for the day on the train. They were not impressed but the police (yes they'd called the police) had asked if we were on their drive and they said no they were parked on ours, so it was left nfa.

Idiots. Anyway! They stopped doing that and since then she accosts me every time she sees me, asking about the people viewing the house ' can they speak English?!', today however I got told to put my washing in as her husband could see my knickers on the line. I shut the door in her face after laughing.

However- I've found our landlords windchime under the sink and it needs to go up really as it was there when we moved in and it stipulates the house has to be in the same condition when we move out. GrinThey begged us to take it down when we moved in and I did as I hate them, but I got DH to untangle it so it has maximum chiming potential and I've put it back up Grin. Might go and have a rummage for some more I'm sure our ll has loads!!

Aibu to torment our neighbours with wind-chimes as they're being so fucking rude!!?

It depends how long is it before you move out ? they could decide to do DIY or play loud music at stupid o'clock

Onlyjoinedforthisthread · 02/06/2018 18:40

I hate the bloody things and was ready to tell you that you were being unreasonable but given the circumstances I will happily come and you

honeybeeq · 02/06/2018 18:41

@Angie169 we move on Friday. They tried to book a viewing after seeing it on rightmove but I refused to let them in and explained to the agent if they want to see it they wait until we move out

FranticallyPeaceful · 02/06/2018 18:43

This is a perfectly acceptable use of devil-chimes

SluttyButty · 02/06/2018 18:44

I'd not only put them up, I'd construct a washing line by their fence, go to Primark and buy lots of lacy thongs, maybe a trip to Ann Summers for some naughty undies and peg them on the line until I moved out Grin

itswinetime · 02/06/2018 18:45

I hate widechimes and people who hang them give me rage but so do impolite arseholes who don't follow the rules and park on others drive so go ahead! It's always nice to know there is some karma out there Wink

happypoobum · 02/06/2018 18:45

They tried to book a viewing? They sound terrifying.

Timeissliplingaway · 02/06/2018 18:45

fussychica · 02/06/2018 18:51

Make a mobile out of knickers and little bells and put it up where they can see and hear it ShockGrin

I hate windchimes but they sound awful.

YesItsMeIDontCare · 02/06/2018 18:52

I have those in blue - I thought they were to catch light not wind 'cause they don't, y'know, actually chime.

Properly made, tuned wind chimes are lovely 😊.

honeybeeq · 02/06/2018 18:54

@YesItsMeIDontCare yeah I agree they don't chime as such more make a lot of noise when it's windy but I have found another wind chime with a dolphin underneath it in the garage so that's up now too :)
